USS Arizona Memorial – The Arizona Memorial was built over the wreckage of the USS Arizona to mark the resting place of the marines that were killed during the attack. When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, she exploded and sank, resulting in the death of 1,177 crewmen and officers.
USS Bowfin – Dubbed the Pearl Harbor Avenger (she sunk 44 enemy ships during WWII), USS Bowfin is a fleet attack submarine that was launched exactly a year after the Pearl Harbor attack.
USS Missouri – Also known as Mighty Mo, USS Missouri is the site where Japan signed the Instrument of Surrender, finally ending the Second World War. The ceremony was led by General Douglas MacArthur. USS Missouri opened to the public on January 29, 1999.
USS Oklahoma – The USS Oklahoma Memorial was built to honor those who lost their lives aboard the battleship during the Pearl Harbor attack. The memorial was formally dedicated on December 7, 2007.
Pacific Aviation Museum – Known as the nation’s first aviation battlefield. The Pacific Aviation Museum is located on Ford Island. It occupies two hangars and the Ford Island Control Tower.
